Leader San Salvador delivered the seventh win on Wednesday night. This time they crushed 10th ranked Chalchuapa (1-6) 129-88. San Salvador dominated down low during the game scoring 92 of its points in the paint compared to Chalchuapa's 46. They outrebounded Chalchuapa 54-27 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. San Salvador looked well-organized offensively handing out 39 assists comparing to just 22 passes made by Chalchuapa's players. The best player for the winners was Luis Valle (190-1997) who scored 26 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. American center Marc Montavious (206-1990, college: Georgetown, KY) chipped in 27 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Puerto Rican point guard Ryann Abraham (182-1987, college: App State) who recorded 18 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and Erick Rojas (183-1996) added 26 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Chalchuapa's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. San Salvador (7-1) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place. Chalchuapa lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with six games lost. San Salvador will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Chalchuapa will play on the road against Cojute (#10) in Cojutepeque and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
