Regular Season Round 36: Regatas - Obera 98-95

The most exciting game of round 36 in the LDD took place in Corrientes. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Obera (24-10) to sixth ranked Regatas (24-11) 98-95 on Friday evening. Regatas outrebounded Obera 40-23 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Regatas made 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was point guard Tobias Franchela (185-2001) who scored 27 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Guard Juan Scacchi (186-2001) chipped in 29 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Taiel Gomez (185-1999) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 6 steals and Franco Fragozo (198-2001) added 33 points (!!!) respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Regatas have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 24-11 record. Obera at the other side keeps the fifth place with ten games lost. Regatas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Obera will play on the road against the league's leader Comunicaciones (#1) in Mercedes and is hoping to win this game.
