Regular Season Round 36: Platense - Quimsa 66-91
Date: April 3, 2022
Leader Quimsa delivered the twenty sixth victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed 13th ranked Platense (14-21) 91-66 in Florida. Quimsa dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Platense's 20. They outrebounded Platense 43-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a quality performance of American power forward Eric Anderson (204-1993, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import forward Reyshawn Terry (203-1984, college: UNC) who added 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Quimsa players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Dominican point guard Adris De Leon (180-1984, college: EWU) with 20 points and point guard Andres Lugli (188-1995) scored 8 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Quimsa maintains first position with 26-8 record. Loser Platense keeps the thirteenth place with 21 games lost. They share the position with Obras. Quimsa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Platense will play against Ferro (#5) and hope to secure a win.
