Very important is a home loss of third ranked Estudiantes C. (15-10) against fourth ranked Racing (16-10) on Monday night. Host Estudiantes C. was defeated by Racing in a tough game in Concordia 63-67. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Estudiantes C.. It was a great evening for Joaquin Gamazo (198-1991) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds. Ricardo Fernandez (190-1996) helped adding 9 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Matias Alluchon (185-2000) responded with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Alan Moreno (185-1997, agency: BIG) scored 13 points. Racing moved-up to third place, which they share with Salta Basket. Estudiantes C. at the other side dropped to the fourth position with ten games lost. Racing will play against Rocamora (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Estudiantes C. will play against Lanus (#11) in Buenos Aires and hopes to get back on the winning track.
