Argentina
Regular Season Round 36: Obras - Argentino 75-77
Date: April 5, 2022
There was a surprise result in Buenos Aires where eighteenth ranked Argentino (13-22) edged higher ranked Obras (14-21) 77-75 on Tuesday. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Chris Daniels (208-1984, college: TAMUCC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and naturalized American Johnatan Slider (192-1987) who added 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Pedro Barral (187-1994, agency: Duran International) with 24 points and 6 assists and American forward Keith Stone (203-1997, college: Miami, FL, agency: Duran International) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Five Obras players scored in double figures. Obras' coach Bernardo Murphy rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Argentino moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with Comunicaciones. Obras lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 21 games lost. They share it with Platense. Argentino will meet at home higher ranked Regatas (#6) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Obras will play against San Lorenzo (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
