The most exciting game of round 12 in the Liga MB took place in San Miguel. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd ranked Santa Tecla (6-3) to fifth ranked Aguila (6-4) 78-76 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Santa Tecla. The best player for the winners was naturalized Canadian Jose Araujo (187-1986, college: UNBC, agency: Interperformances) who scored 25 points and 4 steals. Guard Bryan Garcia (168-1997) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was Dominican guard Jose Liriano (189-1998) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds and American center Raymond Miller (204-1988, college: CS Fullerton) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Aguila have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 6-4 record. Defending champion Santa Tecla keeps the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Brujos. Aguila will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Santa Tecla will play against Santiagueno and is hoping to win this game.
