There was no surprise in Florida where 19th ranked Platense (5-31) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Ferro (15-21) 75-68 on Thursday. Ferro outrebounded Platense 40-27 including 35 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Platense helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Swingman Felipe Rodriguez (195-2003) scored 26 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Santiago Mazza (182-2001) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Point guard Giuliano Michelangei (180-2000) responded with 26 points and point guard Felipe Massa (184-2002) scored 14 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ferro maintains thirteenth position with 15-21 record. Platense at the other side keeps the nineteenth place with 31 games lost. Ferro will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Platense will play on the road against Penarol (#12) in Mar del Plata and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
