Liga MB top team - San Salvador (10-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Aguila (6-5) in San Miguel 78-71. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Aguila. Dominican forward Cristian Joan Duran (201-1996, college: Tenn Tech) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and American center Marc Montavious (206-1990, college: Georgetown, KY) supported him with 13 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Even a double-double of 13 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks by guard Bryan Garcia (168-1997) did not help to save the game for Aguila. Cuban Lisvan Valdez (196-1988) added 20 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. San Salvador have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-1 record, which they share with Metapan. Aguila at the other side keeps the fifth place with five games lost. San Salvador will play against league's leader Metapan at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aguila will have a break next round.
