Regular Season Round 39: Olimpico - Atenas 89-105

Everything could happen in La Banda at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Atenas and 11th ranked Olimpico had identical 17-18 record. But Olimpico was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Cordoba 105-89 on Saturday night. Atenas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Ignacio Segura (195-2000) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Thiago Sucatsky (178-2006) helped adding 23 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!). The best for the losing side was Ecuadorian forward Aaron Capurro (201-2000) with 22 points and 6 rebounds and forward Francisco Ruiz (194-1998) scored 14 points. Five Atenas and four Olimpico players scored in double figures. Olimpico's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Atenas maintains tenth place with 18-18 record. Loser Olimpico dropped to the twelfth position with 19 games lost. Atenas will meet Riachuelo LR (#15) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Olimpico will have a break next round.
