The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Cariduros (3-1) in Fajardo. Hosts were defeated by Leones (4-1) 83-78. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Cariduros. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 6 assists. American Jarrell Brantley (201-1996, college: Charleston) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Leones players scored in double figures. American Earl Clark (208-1988, college: Louisville) replied with 21 points and 7 rebounds and the former international point guard Alexander Abreu (179-1991, college: UWG) added 10 points and 8 assists in the effort for Cariduros. Cariduros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Leones have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Quebradillas. Cariduros at the other side still keep top place with one game lost. Leones will play against Indios (#6) in Mayaguez in the next round where they are favorite. Cariduros will have a break next round.
