The game between closely ranked teams ended with bottom-ranked Indios' (0-4) road loss to fifth ranked Brujos (1-2) 69-85 on Wednesday. Brujos outrebounded Indios 39-28 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Ben McCauley (206-1986, college: NC State) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized American swingman Jahvari Josiah (193-1993, college: Coppin St., agency: Green Sports Management) who added 18 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four Brujos players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Terrence Jones (206-1992, college: Kentucky) responded with 21 points and naturalized American Melsahn Basabe (201-1992, college: Iowa) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Indios' coach tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Brujos left bottom position moving up to fourth place, which they share with Carolina. It was Indios' fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Brujos will meet at home Cangrejeros (#4) in the next round. Indios will play against the league's leader Leones in Juana Diaz and hope to get finally their first victory.
