At the losing side Cuban guard Pedro Roque (187-1995) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists and American-Colombian center Freddy Asprilla (206-1988, college: Canisius) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Metapan and five Santiagueno players scored in double figures. Metapan maintains third place with 12-3 record having just two points less than leader San Salvador. Santiagueno lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with ten games lost. Metapan will play against Santa Ana (#7) on the road in the next round. Santiagueno will have a break next round.
