Worth to mention a great performance of Sofia Payan (167-2000) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 7 rebounds and Brenda Salazar who added 9 points and 7 assists during the contest. Mexcaltecas' coach Gerardo Guzman allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American forward Alexis Johnson (183, college: Virginia Union) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and Monica Moguel scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Mexcaltecas maintains seventh position with 6-7 record. Loser Barreteras keep the eighth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Algodoneras and Las Plebes. Mexcaltecas will meet Quetzales (#11) in the next round. Barreteras will play against the league's leader Mieleras having rather not much hope for a victory.
