Liga MB top team - San Salvador (14-1) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat fifth ranked Brujos (9-7) in Izalco 91-76. San Salvador looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when San Salvador made 16 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Eduardo Escalante (181-1993) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. Roberto Martinez contributed with 19 points and 7 assists for the winners. Five San Salvador players scored in double figures. Maxwel Mendoza answered with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 assists and center Teodoro Romero (202-1985) added 14 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Brujos. San Salvador have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-1 record. Brujos at the other side keep the fifth position with seven games lost. San Salvador are looking forward to face league's second-placed Santa Tecla at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Brujos will play against Nejapa and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
