Regular Season Round 16: Teporacas - Lobas 55-61

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Teporacas (8-6) were defeated at home by third ranked Lobas (11-3) 61-55 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of Cuban center Yayma Boulet (193-1984) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds and Janeth Ramirez who added 16 points during the contest. At the losing side Colombian forward Mabel Martinez (180-1986) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds and the former international swingman Daniela Soto (177-1995) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains third position with 11-3 record having just eight point less than leader Phoenix. Loser Teporacas keep the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with Atleticas. Lobas will meet at home league's leader Lenadoras in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Teporacas will play against Atleticas (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
