Round 7 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Pioneros Los Mochis (9-5). They were defeated by second ranked Astros (10-5) 95-85 on Tuesday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Astros looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American Lagerald Vick (196-1997, college: Kansas) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Jordan Loveridge (198-1993, college: Utah) helped adding 17 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side Swiss point guard Jordan Stevens (182-1994, college: Midwestern St.) responded with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and American swingman Wayne Runnels (198-1989, college: Creighton) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Five Pioneros Los Mochis players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Astros keep a position of league leader. Pioneros Los Mochis at the other side dropped to the second place with five games lost. They share the position with Hermosillo. They were replaced at the leadership position by Astros. Pioneros Los Mochis will play next round against strong Rayos de Hermosillo trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Astros will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Tijuana Zonkeys at home.
