Regular Season Round 20: Fantasmas - Santiagueno 99-68
Date: April 26, 2022
Rather predictable result in San Vicente where sixth ranked Fantasmas (7-9) smashed 8th ranked Santiagueno (5-11) 99-68 on Tuesday. Fantasmas looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Henry Sherrod who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 18 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and American forward Ron Lawton (196-1995, college: NMHU) who added 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Cuban guard Pedro Roque (187-1995) responded with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and American-Colombian center Freddy Asprilla (206-1988, college: Canisius) scored 5 points and 16 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fantasmas maintains sixth position with 7-9 record. Santiagueno lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 11 games lost. Fantasmas are looking forward to face higher ranked Aguila (#5) in San Miguel in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Santiagueno will have a break next round.
