Top ranked Cariduros (5-2) recorded its second loss in Guaynabo on Thursday night. Visitors were rolled over by fourth ranked Mets (4-3) 105-82. Mets outrebounded Cariduros 42-25 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Naturalized American guard Kyle Vinales (188-1992, college: CCSU, agency: Inception Sports) fired 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists for the winners. The former international forward Renaldo Balkman (201-1984, college: S.Carolina) chipped in 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Mets players scored in double figures. American forward Davon Jefferson (203-1986, college: USC) produced 28 points and 6 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) and the former international point guard Alexander Abreu (179-1991, college: UWG) added 16 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mets have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Cariduros at the other side still keep top position with two games lost. Mets are looking forward to face Indios (#6) in Mayaguez in the next round. Cariduros will play at home against Gigantes (#6) and are hoping to win this game.
