No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Mieleras (16-0) crushed 11th ranked Barreteras (5-11) in Guanajuato 88-67 on Sunday. Mieleras forced 23 Barreteras turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American forward Destiny Campbell (185, college: ECU) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the effort and the former international guard Brisa Silva (170-1984, college: OK State) supported her with 18 points and 7 assists. Four Mieleras players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 5 rebounds by guard Alma Dominguez (163-1997) did not help to save the game for Barreteras. Monica Moguel added 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mieleras have an impressive 16-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-0 record. Barreteras lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 11 games lost.
