Regular Season Round 7: Tigrillos - Bucaros 70-78

Bottom-ranked Tigrillos is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to third ranked Bucaros (4-2) 78-70. Bucaros made 26-of-31 charity shots (83.9 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for the former international guard Romario Roque (180-1998) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Shawn Stith (203-1999, college: CSUB) helped adding 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four Bucaros players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Andres Carmona (195-1997) responded with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and center Yeison Toro (200-2001) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bucaros moved-up to second place, which they share with Cafeteros. Tigrillos lost their sixth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost.
