The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Libertad A. (1-1) in Asuncion. Hosts were rolled over by San Jose (2-0) 96-77. It was a key game for the top position in the league. San Jose dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Libertad A.'s 22. Libertad A. was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Argentinian forward Franco Benitez (199-1994) nailed 18 points for the winning side and the former international forward Fernando Dose (200-1994) accounted for 15 points and 5 rebounds.
