The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Indios' (6-9) home victory over 6th ranked Brujos (3-10) 99-76 on Friday. Indios shot the lights out from three sinking 20 long-distance shots on high 51.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Brujos' players. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Jaysean Paige (188-1994, college: WVU) who scored 25 points. Naturalized American forward Tyler Polo (201-1987, college: CS Los Angeles) chipped in 21 points. Four Indios players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized American swingman Jahvari Josiah (193-1993, college: Coppin St., agency: Green Sports Management) who recorded 15 points and 4 assists and the former international Christopher Ortiz (203-1993, college: Kent St.) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Indios maintains fifth position with 6-9 record. Brujos lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with ten games lost. Indios will meet league's second-placed Mets in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Brujos will play against the league's second-placed Capitanes (#2) in Arecibo and hope to secure a win.
