No shocking result in a game when third ranked Cafeteros (7-4) crushed 6th ranked Storm (3-7) in Armenia 93-70. Cafeteros made 23-of-26 charity shots (88.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Storm turnovers. American Jaelyn Johnson-Coston (198-1993, college: FMU) scored 25 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Gerald Williams (190-1991, college: La Sierra) chipped in 17 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Cafeteros players scored in double figures. At the losing side international forward Luis Almanza (196-1991) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Patrick McGlynn (188-1992, college: URI) scored 17 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cafeteros maintains third position with 7-4 record having just two points less than leader Titanes. Storm lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with seven games lost. Cafeteros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Storm will play at home against Tigrillos (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
