Regular Season Round 21: Lenadoras - Racers 76-43

An interesting game for Lenadoras (4-15) which hosted in second-best Racers (2-15). First ranked Lenadoras had an easy win 76-43. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Racers. They outrebounded Racers 52-34 including a 40-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Shamika Singleton (185-1989, college: Concordia, TX) nailed a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds for the winning side and her fellow American import guard Kala Green (175-1996, college: NC A&T) accounted for 12 points and 5 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Four Lenadoras players scored in double figures. Lenadoras' coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ecuadorian point guard Leyda Macias (165-1983) came up with 13 points and 5 rebounds and Gisela Trujillo added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Racers in the defeat. Despite that victory Lenadoras went down to twelfth position due to points difference. Newly promoted Racers still keep top place with 15 games lost. Lenadoras will again meet at home league's leader Racers in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Racers will have a break next round.
