Regular Season Round 10: Bucaros - Carrib.Storm 103-99

Rather predictable result when third ranked Bucaros (7-3) won against 6th ranked Storm (3-7) in Bucaramanga 103-99. Dominican guard Brandone Francis (196-1994, college: Texas Tech) scored 32 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Shawn Stith (203-1999, college: CSUB) chipped in 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five Bucaros players scored in double figures. Bucaros' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side Venezuelan swingman Kevin Nino (195-1991) responded with 51 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (made all of his twenty two free throws !!!) and international forward Luis Almanza (196-1991) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Bucaros have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Storm lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with seven games lost. Bucaros will play against league's leader Titanes in Barranquilla in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Storm will play at home against Tigrillos (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
