San Salvador dominated down low during the game scoring 104 of its points in the paint compared to Santa Ana's 44. They outrebounded Santa Ana 59-23 including a 45-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. San Salvador looked well-organized offensively handing out 45 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by Santa Ana's players. The best player for the winners was Panamanian Alejandro Scantelbury (199-1993) who scored 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 15-of-17 shooting from the field). Dominican forward Cristian Joan Duran (201-1996, college: Tenn Tech) chipped in a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Five San Salvador players scored in double figures.
