Rather expected game when 6th ranked Brujos (3-12) lost to fourth ranked Cariduros (7-8) in Guayama 77-93 on Thursday. Cariduros looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American power forward Terrence Jones (206-1992, college: Kentucky) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and the other American import Earl Clark (208-1988, college: Louisville) supported him with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 18 points and 8 assists by American guard Josh Perkins (191-1995, college: Gonzaga, agency: Slash Sports) did not help to save the game for Brujos. The former international Christopher Ortiz (203-1993, college: Kent St.) added 16 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cariduros moved-up to second place, which they share with Santurce. Brujos lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 12 games lost. Cariduros will meet Mets (#4) in the next round. Brujos will play against Gigantes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
