Regular Season Round 4: Malvin - D.Sporting 49-60
Date: May 21, 2022
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Montevideo: D.Sporting (#2) and Malvin (#5). Malvin was defeated at home 49-60 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Malvin. D.Sporting forced 19 Malvin turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of center Josefina Rivera (177-1998) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 8 rebounds and forward Lucia Schiavo (174-1998) who added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Colombian-Argentinian center Malvina DAgostino (184-2001) responded with 6 points and 18 rebounds and the former international point guard Ailen Sosa (163-2000) scored 21 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. D.Sporting have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion (4-0) keeps a position of league leader. Malvin at the other side keeps the fifth place with one game lost. D.Sporting's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena 25 de Agosto.
