Regular Season Round 4: Hebraica - Montevideo 64-25
Date: May 22, 2022
There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Hebraica (2-2) crushed at home 6th ranked Montevideo (2-2) 64-25 on Sunday. Hebraica held Montevideo to an opponent 20.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 36.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Hebraica forced 33 Montevideo turnovers and outrebounded them 51-25 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Argentinian Abril Ramirez (167-2000) who scored that evening 16 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and the former international guard Natasha Dolinsky (173-1997, college: Lincoln, MO) supported her with 8 points and 10 rebounds. Even 4 points and 6 rebounds by forward Florencia Mier (167-1992) did not help to save the game for Montevideo. Forward Victoria Cardone (160-1994) added 5 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hebraica moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Montevideo. Hebraica's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Lagomar.
