Regular Season Round 8: Adelitas - Plateras 100-57

An interesting game for Adelitas (9-0) which hosted in Chihuahua 4th ranked Plateras (1-8). Top-ranked Adelitas had an easy win 100-57. Adelitas dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Plateras' 34. Adelitas forced 28 Plateras turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Plateras' players. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese power forward Oumoul Sarr (185-1984) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and American guard Kristen Spolyar (178-1997, college: Butler) who added 21 points during the contest. Five Adelitas players scored in double figures. American forward Kamilah Jackson (183-1992, college: Hawaii) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and Sandra Pinera scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Adelitas have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-0 record. Plateras lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with eight games lost. Adelitas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Plateras will play at home against the league's second-placed Libertadores (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
