There was a surprise result in Quebradillas where sixth ranked Brujos (4-14) won against much higher ranked Piratas (12-7) 71-67 on Wednesday. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American swingman Jahvari Josiah (193-1993, college: Coppin St., agency: Green Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Ben McCauley (206-1986, college: NC State) who added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Brujos players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Jamil Wilson (201-1990, college: Marquette) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized American forward Phillip Wheeler (204-2002) scored 19 points. Brujos maintains sixth position with 4-14 record. Loser Piratas still keep top place with seven games lost. They share the position with Ponce. Brujos will meet higher ranked Gigantes (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Piratas will play against Capitanes (#3) in Arecibo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
