Regular Season Round 9: Plateras - Libertadores 86-81

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Libertadores (6-4) against fourth ranked Plateras (2-10) on Thursday night. Visiting Libertadores were defeated by Plateras in a tough game in Fresnillo 81-86. Plateras players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American forward Kamilah Jackson (183-1992, college: Hawaii) nailed 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and her fellow American import center Khadija Brown (190, college: UAPB) accounted for 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Plateras' coach Jesus Aragon allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American power forward Lyndra Littles Weaver (185-1987, college: Virginia) came up with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and Kenyan-Canadian power forward Adut Bulgak (193-1992, college: FSU) added 15 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Libertadores in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Plateras maintains fourth place with 2-10 record. Libertadores at the other side dropped to the second position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
