Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Asuncion: Libertad A. (#2) and Sol de America (#4). Sol de America was smashed at home by 29 points 68-97 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Libertad A. forced 24 Sol de America turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Jorge Sequera (194-1988) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international power forward Edison Ortiz (197-1982) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Libertad A. players scored in double figures. Libertad A.'s coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rodney Ruiz replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and Ricardo Queznel added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Sol de America. Libertad A. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 4-2 record behind leader Olimpia K. Sol de America at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Campo Alto.
