Metapan rallied past Santa Tecla to ensure the Liga MB Finals appearance. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Metapan made 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was Dominican point guard Jaison Valdez (188-1995) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-1994) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks. Alberto Liriano produced 29 points and 6 rebounds and Colombian Michaell Jackson (190-1987) added 20 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the hosts.
