Regular Season Round 3: Caneros - Indios 93-88

There was a small surprise when Caneros (1-2) beat Indios (1-3) in La Romana 93-88 on Sunday. Caneros made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Indios turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Yeison Colome (190-1996) who led the winners and scored 22 points. Elias Soliman (185-1991) accounted for 13 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Guard Juan Suero (196-1993) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists and Adonis Henriquez added 24 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Indios in the defeat. Five Caneros and four Indios players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Caneros will meet Titanes (#7) in the next round. Indios will play against Metros in Santiago and hope to win that game.
