Top ranked Vaqueros (15-6) recorded its sixth loss in Guayama. Visitors were edged by sixth ranked Brujos (5-15) 77-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Vaqueros. Naturalized American swingman Jahvari Josiah (193-1993, college: Coppin St., agency: Green Sports Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 7 rebounds. American power forward Ben McCauley (206-1986, college: NC State) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Brujos players scored in double figures. American power forward Dewan Hernandez (211-1997, college: Miami, FL) answered with 25 points and 5 rebounds and the former international point guard Angel Rodriguez (180-1992, college: Miami, FL) added 11 points and 13 assists in the effort for Vaqueros. Vaqueros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Brujos maintains sixth place with 5-15 record. Vaqueros at the other side still keep top position with six games lost. Brujos will play against league's leader Capitanes in Arecibo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vaqueros will play on the road against Cangrejeros in Santurce and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
