LBF top team - Sesi/Arara. (15-1) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat eighth ranked LSB (5-10) in Araraquara 77-65. They outrebounded LSB 53-33 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for center Leticia Soares (185, college: San Diego) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 17 rebounds. The former international power forward Aline Moura (185-1997) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. International forward Thayna Silva (180-1996) answered with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and center Brenda Barros (184-2000) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for LSB. LSB's coach Raphael Zaremba rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Sesi/Arara. have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 15-1 record. LSB at the other side keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Sesi/Arara. are looking forward to face Blumenau (#5) at home in the next round. LSB will play against Catanduva in Caranduva and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
