There was a small surprise when Se7en (1-3) won against on the road Santa Ana (1-4) 38-34 on Thursday. Se7en held Santa Ana to an opponent 15.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 22.4 percent accuracy of the winners. Se7en forced 21 Santa Ana turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for guard Fabiola Romero (160-2003) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Naomi Carpio (175-2006) accounted for 6 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Karina Menendez came up with 5 points, 23 rebounds and 6 blocks and Carmen Sandoval added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Santa Ana in the defeat. Santa Ana's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
