Regular Season Round 11: Halcones - Plateras 86-75

An interesting game for Halcones (6-8) which hosted in Xalapa 4th placed Plateras (2-12). Third ranked Halcones managed to get a 11-point victory 86-75. Halcones made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American players dominated also this game. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Tiffany Brown (168-1986, college: Georgia South) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 8 assists. Forward Kym Royster (188-1997, college: Indiana, agency: Green Sports Management) accounted for 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Royster is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Kamilah Jackson (183-1992, college: Hawaii) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and center Khadija Brown (190, college: UAPB) added 19 points and 4 assists respectively for Plateras in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Plateras' coach Jesus Aragon rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Halcones maintains third place with 6-8 record having three points less than leader Libertadores. Plateras lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 12 games lost. Halcones will again meet at home Plateras (#4) in the next round. Plateras will have a break next round.
