No shocking result in a game in Las Piedras where fourth ranked Aguada (5-1) smashed bottom-ranked Juventud (0-6) 95-16 on Saturday. Aguada held Juventud to an opponent 11.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 44.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Aguada forced 32 Juventud turnovers and outrebounded them 58-28 including a 40-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 2 passes made by Juventud's players. Guard Camila Kirschenbaum (170-2002, college: Binghamton) scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Lara Barbato (181-2004) chipped in 18 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Aguada's coach Nicolas Altalef felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Karina Acosta (-1986) with 6 points and 7 rebounds and guard Cynthia Diaz (158-1994) scored 1 points and 9 rebounds. Aguada keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Malvin and D.Sporting. Newly promoted Juventud still closes the standings with six games lost.
