Regular Season Round 5: Frontera - Univ. Austral 89-66

Everything could happen in Temuco at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked Frontera and 4th placed Univ. Austral had identical 2-2 record. This time Frontera used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Puerto Montt 89-66 on Saturday night. Frontera dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Univ. Austral's 32. Frontera forced 20 Univ. Austral turnovers and outrebounded them 39-21 including 26 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Daniela Troncoso (178-1987) who scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. The former international forward Angella Angotzi (171-1986) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. Four Frontera players scored in double figures. Guard Constanza Antero (169-1998) produced 16 points and Javiera Contreras (-2001) added 11 points respectively for the guests. Univ.
