Regular Season Round 6: UNAB Santiago - Sergio Ceppi 55-77

Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Santiago: Sergio Ceppi (#2) and UNAB Santiago (#6). UNAB Santiago was smashed at home by 22 points 55-77 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Sergio Ceppi forced 30 UNAB Santiago turnovers. The former international Florencia Colossi (168-1998) scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Macarena Retamales (-2001) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Sergio Ceppi players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Karla Vargas (-2000) with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 22 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international Monserrat Videla (175-1992) scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sergio Ceppi maintains second position with 8-1 record having nine points less than leader Conce. Loser UNAB Santiago dropped to the seventh place with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
