The game between Top Four teams took place in Aguascalientes. Second ranked host Panteras (10-6) smashed 3rd placed Astros (9-7) 97-62. Panteras dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Astros' 24. They outrebounded Astros 46-31 including a 39-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Panteras players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Samantha Fuehring (190-1997, college: Louisville) who led the winners and scored 32 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Her fellow American import guard Rennia Davis (188-1999, college: Tennessee) accounted for 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Panteras' coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Claudia Ramos (183-1997, college: CSUN) came up with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Paulina Rodriguez (180-1997, college: WNMU) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively for Astros in the defeat. Five Astros players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Panteras. They maintain second place with 10-6 record having just one point less than leader Libertadores. Astros at the other side keep the third position with seven games lost.
