Regular Season Round 6: Liceo Curico - Aleman 58-71

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Aleman and 10th ranked Liceo Curico had identical 3-3 record. But Liceo Curico was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Puerto Varas 71-58 on Saturday night. Center Marko Castro (192-88) scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Jonathan Alvial (188-1988) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Aleman players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Cuban guard Angel Ibanez (190-1990) with 12 points and 8 rebounds and guard Sebastian Munoz (-1990) scored 7 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aleman (4-3) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Boston College and Osorno. Liceo Curico lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. They share it with Luis Matte. Aleman will meet at home Osorno (#8) in the next round. Liceo Curico will play against the league's second-placed Liceo PN in Temuco and hope to secure a win.
