Very predictable result when top-ranked FAS (8-0) outscored at home 7th ranked Se7en (3-5) 94-38 on Tuesday. FAS dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Se7en's 30 and made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. FAS forced 24 Se7en turnovers and outrebounded them 60-28 including a 28-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Se7en's players. Center Silvia Vega (176-2003) had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Norma Duran (170-1997) chipped in 8 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Fabiola Romero (160-2003) with 5 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Andrea Montoya (157-1995) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. FAS have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record. Loser Se7en keeps the seventh place with five games lost. They share the position with Santa Tecla. FAS will meet Santa Tecla (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Se7en will have a break next round.
