Rather expected game when 6th ranked Luis ML (2-6) was smashed on the road by leader UDC (5-0) 62-31 on Wednesday. UDC held Luis ML to an opponent 21.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 31.0 percent accuracy of the winners. UDC forced 26 Luis ML turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Sofia Jara (-1996) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Esperanza Delgado accounted for 4 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Center Maria Marinakis came up with 6 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Carla Paredez added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Luis ML in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for UDC. They maintain fourth place with 5-0 record. Loser Luis ML keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
