Very important is a road loss of third ranked ExSal (5-2) against fourth ranked Teclenas (6-1) on Saturday night. Visiting ExSal was defeated by Teclenas in a tough game in Santa Tecla 58-62. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of ExSal. Teclenas forced 20 ExSal turnovers and outrebounded them 48-32 including a 24-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Point guard Paola Campos (165-2001) scored 25 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Paola Ortiz (172-2001) chipped in 13 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. Teclenas' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Laura Rivas (171-1999) with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Gracia Flamenco (173-2000) scored 9 points and 11 rebounds. Teclenas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 6-1 record. Loser ExSal dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. Teclenas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santa Tecla Salvadorenas.
