There was a minor upset in Santa Tecla where their close opponent Ballers (4-6) were crushed by seventh ranked Salvadorenas (3-4) 65-41 on Sunday. Salvadorenas forced 26 Ballers turnovers and outrebounded them 53-35 including a 22-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Angie Ayala (158-2007) who scored 13 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Guard Maria Garcia (156-2005) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Vanessa Ruiz (160-2006) who recorded 17 points and 7 rebounds and Johanna Gabriela-garcia added 6 points and 6 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Salvadorenas went down to eighth position due to points difference. Ballers lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with six games lost.
