Regular Season Round 7: Pichincha - Univ.Sucre 73-71

Seventh-ranked Univ.Sucre (1-4) gave a tough game to third ranked Pichincha (5-1) on Tuesday. Pichincha managed to secure only two-point victory 73-71. However their fans expected much easier game. 26 personal fouls committed by Univ.Sucre helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Ralfi Silva who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. Diego Santana helped adding 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four Pichincha players scored in double figures. At the losing side Argentinian center Sebastian Chaine (201-1986) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and Argentinian forward Lucas Gallardo (199-2001) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Pichincha have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Univ.Sucre at the other side keeps the seventh position with four games lost. Pichincha are looking forward to face La Salle (#4) in Tarija in the next round. Univ.Sucre will play against San Simon and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
