There was no surprise when 12th ranked L.M.Mons. (1-10) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Santa Tecla (4-8) 51-44 on Saturday. Santa Tecla forced 26 L.M.Mons. turnovers. Strangely L.M.Mons. outrebounded Santa Tecla 60-44 including a 40-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for point guard Karla Candelas (172-1988) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Forward Jennifer Zaldana (167-2003) helped adding 9 points and 16 rebounds. Forward Jennifer Ramirez (170-1998) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 25 rebounds and 4 assists and Tania Garcia scored 8 points, 19 rebounds and 5 blocks. Santa Tecla maintains tenth place with 4-8 record. L.M.Mons. lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with ten games lost.
